Barry Sheene - Heron Suzuki, 1978

Limited edition print of the legendary Barry Sheene during the 1978 Grand Prix season. The moment captures the rarely seen "serious" side and shows Sheene's thoughtful expression as he sits astride his Texaco Heron Suzuki RG500. Known for his two 500cc World Championships, Sheene became the best-known face of British motorcycling during the 1970s and remains an icon of the sport today. Inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame in 2011, Sheene is still the last British champion in the premier class!  Photograph by Brian Aris.
